Is the Daily country the same for everyone?
Yes. Everyone gets the same country each day. The puzzle changes at midnight in your local time zone.
How is the distance measured?
From the closest border of your guess to the closest border of the secret country, so neighbours are 0 km.
Where did my statistics go?
They are stored only on your device, so deleting the app or switching phones starts fresh.
Can I use miles, or a colour-blind palette?
Yes, both are in Settings (the ... menu at the top right).
Can I change the app language?
Whereabouts follows your iPhone language settings (English and Hebrew). Settings has a shortcut to the iOS language page.
